Listening (conversation and about discussion of problem and solution ;
Taking notes while listening:
Identify the main points and speakers’ attitude
Make a note of keywords and ideas
Listen for examples and details that support the main ideas

The following questions will give us a clue
what is the topic of this conversation?
What problem does the woman have?
What does the man suggest the woman do?
What do you think of the man’s suggestions?
What do you think the woman should do ?

Question types :
Ø        Question1: Describe the man’s problem and suggestions the woman makes about what he should do. What do you think the man should do, and why?
Ø        Describe the woman’s problem and suggestions her advisor makes about how to solve it. What do you think the woman should do, and why?
Ø        Describe the man’s problem and suggestions the woman makes about what he should deal with it. What do you think the man should do, and why?
Ø        The students discuss two possible solutions to the woman’s problem. Describe the problem. Then state which of the two solutions you prefer and explain why?
Ø        与第二道题非常类似:choose a position---TST
1. Describe man’s problem
2. Describe suggestions
3. Tell your preference
4. Explain whyFormat for NO.5  :
In this listening material, the woman (man) has a problem. …..(main points from the listening material). The man (woman) gives him or her two suggestion. One is ……..The other one is ………. As far as I am concerned, I think …..is better. First, because………….. Also,……………..

Topic of the listening material: problem- and-solution 
Main points:
woman’s got a problem (a paper, two exams and math problems)
Man’s solutions:
Talk to the professor for an extension
make a schedule for yourself

5 The students discuss two possible solutions to the woman’s problem. Describe the problem. .Then state which of the two solutions you prefer and explain why.

Sample Answer for Official Guide 220
In this listening material, the woman has a problem. She has two exams to prepare and some math problems to complete. The man offers her two solutions. One is to talk to the professor and ask for an extension. The other one is to make herself a schedule to plan her time better.. As far as I am concerned, I think the second one seems to be better. First because the problem of too much work to do is something that the woman is going to confront in the future as well, and that if she learns how to organize a schedule now, this will help her throughout her academic career. Second , there are some disadvantages of the first solution. I mean, even if the professor is willing to give her an extension, they might somehow penalize her for it by grading her assignment more severely.
