Don't Dream Your Life—Live Your Dream 让梦想成真 It was in the rainy summer season. Among wet and hot atmosphere, people are likely to get anxious about everything. But I was delighted because I got a task to dub(配音)for our sample teaching cartoon film. I am fond of voice, and I am proud of my voice. I often spend afternoons doing some recording myself. That's a wonderful enjoyment. The workshop where we would have the cartoon film made was in the campus city in the suburb. It took our taxi more than half an hour to struggle its way through the busy downtown streets. And an hour later, the pleasant fresh air in the suburb made us energetic. And when I was told that we would go to a technical recording studio to make the recording, I was overjoyed. I began to picture the studio in my mind, something majestic and splendid. On the way to the studio, I learned the story of Mr Chen, the owner of the recording studio. He is crazy about music and hi-fi. Years ago, he sold his large house in downtown, and bought a cheaper apartment in the suburb. He then used the rest amount of the money he got from selling his house to buy a set of expensive hi-fi equipment. Now he makes his living by making records for others. However, he is not much of a good businessman. Only now and then, some college students come to make a record of their favorite songs. I respect such a person who has a sedulous(执著的) pursuit of dream. I was quite surprised when going through the rough and tumble(杂乱的) uptown(住宅区). At last, we reached the so-called technical recording studio, a small crowded apartment on the top of a seven-storied building. It was far more a living room than a workshop. The hi-fi equipment stood disorderly beside a simple bed. The weary and miserable(简陋的) furniture told us that its owner was down-and-out. Mr Chen was so serious about his work that he wouldn't accept any small flaw during our recording. But his conscientiousness(认真) made him unbearable in such a condition. We wanted to finish the recording as soon as possible so that we could run away from the muggy(闷热的) apartment. Mr Chen lives in his dream. Maybe he feels satisfied, but how do his wife and daughter feel? He shouldn't only dream his life. He should live his dream in the real life, at least, support the family first. My dear friends, what's your idea about life and dream? Your mails are welcome.
